Helen Jones is your Resource Planner for South Kitsap.

She has owned horses for many years and setting up her property for environmentally sound horse-keeping was a high priority. She is continually implementing, managing and evaluating Best Management Practices at home, and she brings this experience into the field as she works with landowners.

Education, outreach to agricultural landowners, and implementation of Best Management Practices (BMPs) are our primary staff efforts. Free (non-regulatory!) technical assistance is available to landowners, and cost-share may be available to help defray the cost of implementing BMPs such as manure storage bins, gutters or fencing.
